"My son from Detroit is a Fire Fighter and we were in Ypsilanti for the day, so we had to stop in the Michigan Firehouse and Education Center. A real treat for all ages. Great examples of fire truck and equipment from years past. Small admission to get in but worth the price for seniors, adults and children. I love the upstairs crew quarters, kitchen and the old-time sliding pole. We spent about an hour and half there and thoroughly enjoyed the time. they have a gift shop and welcome center and everyone there was friendly and helpful. If you are in Ypsilanti for the day stop in and see the MIchigan Firehouse Museum and Education Center."

Richard Sauter

"My kids enjoy this place so much. The gentleman who work there give us a free pass bc they just had an event. They gave kids fireman hat (kids love it) while we are exploring the whole museum. The building is 3 floors and have elevator so for parents who have small babies in stroller can still go and have easy access to all the floors. They have parking spot behind the building but its only like 3 cars but its free, you dont have to walk far. Really great experience especially for the kids and adults who love fire trucks. The staff are nice and pretty informative, thank you."
