What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Limetree Beach Resort is celebrated for its tranquil, secluded atmosphere, beautiful private beach, and excellent onsite dining at The Longboard. Guests consistently praise the friendly and hardworking staff who take pride in maintaining the resort. While the quiet ambiance is a major draw, some visitors note inconsistent pool bar hours and a lack of extensive onsite entertainment, making a rental car advisable for exploring the island.
"My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was the perfect secluded paradise for us to come back to after exploring the island. The pool was clean, beach was great, grounds were amazing. The resort is very quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for, but this also means they dont have a lot at the actual resort as far as entertainment. The on property resturaunt was amazing. I highly recommend renting a car or you will spend a fortune on taxis to go explore the island. We also took advantage of the dive shop on the property and went diving one of the days we were there, which was such a wonderful experience.
I only had 2 complaints.
1. The pool bar hours are inconsistent/not followed and it was closed 2 days while we were there without any notice. These happened to be the two days we planned to be at the resort enjoying the pool, bar, and beach.
2. We were gifted our stay here so they really try very hard to get you to go to the presentation for the timeshare at Margaritaville. We were not allowed to check in until they talked us into going to the presentation. We ended up doing it for the credits and stuff they offer, but it was definitely a little pushy of a sales pitch and we had to tell them many times we were not making a decision the same day before they finally stopped trying to get us to sign on, only to send us to another person who tries again by offering more free things. It's 2 hours i won't get back and the discounts they offered ultimately were not that great."

"The sargassum that came in as a previous reviewer noted has been completely removed by hardworking staff. It has been clear to us during our stay that the employees take great pride in this resort. The front desk staff is so kind and helpful ~ special thanks to Pamela and Onika, their assistance and recommendations have made our vacation so memorable. Housekeeping has been very accommodating when we’ve had any requests. The resort is a secluded paradise with a beautiful private beach. Enjoy the escape and bring cash for cabs when you want to join the crowds. We’ve dined at the onsite restaurant several times ~ the servers are friendly and the food is delicious. Truly a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of St. Thomas."

"We had a group of 8 staying in 4 rooms and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Limetree Beach Resort! Facilities were clean, guest services were extremely helpful and responsive, and all-in-all was a great stay. The Longboard restaurant and Pool Bar were great amenities to have on site; we enjoyed them both. Special call out to Chris at the pool bar as we loved our conversations with him and he was our most valued advisor. I hope the resort values him as the amenity that he is. So easy to talk to, such a skilled bartender juggling multiple customers, and provided the best island advice we were given. He's a true asset to the experience and deserves a raise (IMHO)!"

This allows you to easily access other parts of the island, from vibrant towns to different beaches, without incurring significant costs.
Some guests have noted inconsistencies with pool bar hours, which can be a minor inconvenience if you're planning a day of poolside lounging. Additionally, a few reviews mention aggressive timeshare sales pitches, which can detract from the relaxing vibe if you're not interested. Despite these minor points, the overwhelming sentiment is that Limetree Beach offers a wonderful place to unwind, thanks to its beautiful setting and dedicated staff.
