Very knowledgeable, warm and kind people. Truly a hidden gem of Samarkand. I recommend leaving a kimd donation for their time and building upkeep."

"We'd really have loved visiting the synagogue which was unfortunately closed. The mentioned opening hours are likely the times the rabi can be reached by phone and might come to open the synagogue. We didn't manage to get inside. I saw the pictures other travelers have posted and would really have liked to see the place. The outside is not appealing to the eye but respect to the members of the Jewish community. There are only a few synagogues and churches left to my knowledge in Usbekistan."
