"I visited from Caracas. It's a great place to take the kids for a ride on the planes. I think that despite the fact that they appear to be in basic maintenance, the planes are dirty and covered in cobwebs, and some vegetation is uncut. Just seeing all these planes and allowing the kids to ride on them, and taking the photos, is totally worth it. They'll never forget that memory. Admission was free when I went. It's worth the visit."

"The Aeronautical Museum of Maracay is one of those gems of the Garden City that never fails to impress visitors. As Maracay is the cradle of civil and military aviation in Venezuela, it's no surprise that there's a section dedicated to the feats of its aviators. However, this museum is truly a national treasure. It houses simply astonishing pieces: transport planes, fighter jets, training aircraft, civilian planes, a helicopter, and, of course, displays honoring our illustrious pilots. All are original fuselages that were taken out of service and are now an attraction for adults and children alike.
These days, the museum is quite well-maintained; however, the aircraft fuselages need maintenance, as being exposed to the elements causes the materials and paint to deteriorate. As a curious fact, one can see one of the few statues in Venezuela of the controversial General and President Juan Vicente Gómez, inaugurated during the time of former Governor Carlos Tablante. Gómez was a staunch admirer of aviation and was obsessed with consolidating military and civil aviation in Venezuela."
