Visitors are captivated by the elaborate mausoleums and the blend of architectural styles. While free to enter, the vast, sandy grounds require comfortable footwear, and some find the sheer size overwhelming.
"The grandest cemetry I've been to. Located in the middle of nowhere. It's a 40 - 50 minute drive from Hue and you get to see the green countryside on the way there. It was free entry and deserted when we got there on a weekday afternoon. Wear covered shoes. The hot sand from the ground is very unpleasant if it gets into your slippers."

"Amazing place... Picked up from hotel in Hue by Green taxi which was arranged by hotel... one hour to get there... driver waited one hour and one hour back. Cemetery is huge. You could wander around for a week. Easy to get lost. Total price was 650,000 VND or about 20 GBP. No entrance fee. You just wander in. No lines."

"Very interesting place. I would say that it’s worth to come all the way here not for this specific cemetery itself, but for the overall experience of driving your bike in the central Vietnamese countryside, and specifically in this stretch of land between the lagoon and the sea, scattered of many nice villages, A LOT of cemeteries, and rice fields."
