What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the authentic craft experience and the opportunity to create their own pottery at Bat Trang. The village offers a vibrant glimpse into traditional Vietnamese artistry, with many appreciating the chance to purchase unique ceramic pieces directly from artisans. Some find the tourist-focused workshops less in-depth than expected, and navigating the village can be overwhelming without a plan.
"This location is very out of the way for most people visiting Hanoi on a shorter stay. However it has its own vibes and artistic flair. With almost every house in the area having something to do with pottery. It is great if you want to get some quality pottery at what felt like fair prices. Also pottery making is good fun also. The main reason this gets 3 stars is the location, it is very hard to get a grab back and also there is a lot of walking which can be hard for how hot it is in this area. Overall worth it if you have the time and want to take back pottery."

"I did a day tour with Authentic Bat Trang pottery village. From making a pottery piece to take home, tour of 3 or 4 factories in Bat Trang and walking through the historic village. Authentic Bat Trang Pottery staff was outstanding.
Located in the Old Quarter in Hanoi.
Best tour I did in Hanoi!!! Very reasonable price
I recommend buying tickets in advance to plan on pottery firing later after the tour. 1-2 days"
