"This used to be a good area. But Super typhoon Yagi has played spoil sport and uprooted many trees.
When we visited this on 8th September 2024, it was in very bad shape. See the photos and you will know."

"Obviously the Statue is the reason to visit this place. Several groups of school children were doing various activities on the plaza in front of the Statue. Behind you have a small park with trees and bench seats aswell as a toilet. Colourful flowers in front of the memorial."

"Very average social realist sculpture, with one caviat that bumps it up from 2 to 3 stars. It's in the tropics! Tropical Lenin everyone!!! Other than that if you ever visited eastern Europe you must have seen a good umber of these. The park surrounding it is a lot better than the statue."
