What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ba Na Hills is widely praised for its stunning architecture, particularly the Golden Bridge and French Village, offering a unique, fairytale-like experience. Visitors appreciate the serene Linh Ung Pagoda and the thrill of the alpine coasters. However, some find it can be very crowded and expensive, with long queues for attractions.
"After the beer tour at Sun Craft Brewery, we made our way to one of the more serene and peaceful spots on Ba Na Hills – the Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple, also known as the spiritual zone of Ba Na.
Honestly, after all the noise, music, and drinks, stepping into this area felt like a complete shift in atmosphere – suddenly everything was quieter, more tranquil, and the air felt even cooler up here.
The temple sits right at one of the highest points of Ba Na Hills – I read somewhere it's around 1,487 meters above sea level.
The temple is actually dedicated to Mẫu Thượng Ngàn, who in Vietnamese folklore is known as the Mother of the Highlands, a guardian spirit of forests and mountains.
It’s not a name I was familiar with before this trip, but being there and seeing how reverently the place is kept made me want to learn more.
As you walk around, you’ll notice the massive white Buddha statue at the nearby Linh Ung Pagoda – it’s 27 meters tall and sits peacefully on a lotus pedestal.
The whole area is filled with temple bells, incense smoke, and beautiful stone carvings.
Even if you’re not religious, you can definitely feel the calmness and spiritual
weight of the place.
There’s also this nine-level stupa – called the Linh Phong Bao Thap – and a giant bronze bell that I believe weighs a ton (literally).
People gently tap the bell to make wishes. It felt really special just taking a slow walk here, soaking in the view of the surrounding clouds and mountains.
My wife took a ton of photos – the architecture really is beautiful and looks even more mystical with the fog rolling in.
I didn’t expect to enjoy this part as much as I did. We often rush for attractions and shows, but this was a reminder to slow down and just take in the moment.
Whether you’re spiritual or not, this part of Ba Na Hills gives you space to breathe, reflect, and just enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains.
Highly recommend taking some time here – even if it’s just to reset your senses before heading back down into the livelier parts of Ba Na Hills."
