While staying in Hanoi, Vietnam, we chose to stay at the Hyatt Regency West Hanoi. I particularly picked this hotel, as it was close to My Dinh bus station, where we came back from an overnight bus from Cao Bang. As we arrived early in the morning, we decided to wait in the lobby, but due to my Globalist status, the reception staff were really nice to us and let us check in around 7am in the morn...

Reviews Summary

My Dinh Bus Station serves as a crucial transit point for Northern Vietnam, connecting to many destinations. While it offers essential travel options, visitors often find it chaotic, lacking clear signage, and in need of better cleanliness. Be prepared for potential scams and aggressive touts, and always secure tickets from official counters. Reddit+1

"No very clean, a little run down, not clearly signposted (and all in Vietnamese), a bit chaotic with buses going everywhere along with plenty of hawkers/taxi drivers preying on people getting off busses. Food available in the area was average and the toilet facilities, which you need to pay to use by the way, were next level dirty."

Dano's Channel

"Given new city center location My Đình is one of busiest buses station in Hanoi. Local buses from different province of northern Vietnam come here in drove for exploitation of City dwellers on the move back and forward to and from their home town. If you pick up or send packages make sure to park your bike outside and hire station luggage trolley which locates at the corner in the center. If you send a shipper to pick up your things he also need to park his bike outside and carries himself the parcels or relies on the luggage moving service from the station. My Đình station need to be cleaner or better organized and managed. Better still it could be privatized for better quality service and share the burdens costs for the local government."
