What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pho 10 Ly Quoc Su is a beloved Hanoi institution, celebrated for its exceptionally flavorful beef pho broth and tender meat. While lines are common, they move quickly, and the authentic, bustling atmosphere adds to the charm. It's a highly recommended spot for a delicious and value-for-money culinary experience.
"This place is an absolute institution and a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Phở. You might encounter a line when you arrive, but don't let that discourage you. It moves fast and the experience is undeniably worth the queue.
The secret is definitely in the soup. The broth is flavorful yet light, striking that perfect balance of being rich in savory bone essence without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s clear, aromatic, and comforting. The quality of the ingredients really shines, particularly the meat. The beef is succulent and tender, cooked perfectly by the boiling broth to retain its sweetness and soft texture.
To truly elevate the dish, you have to use the condiments provided. The broth matches perfectly with a squeeze of fresh lime; the acidity cuts through the richness and brightens up the entire bowl. Add a little homemade chili sauce and garlic vinegar, and you have the perfect breakfast. Watching the busy open kitchen pile high with fresh green onions just adds to the authentic, bustling atmosphere.
Tight space but it adds a charm and authenticity to this 😜
Highly recommended!"

"Delicious bowl of pho all around. Loved the unlimited lime, chilis and pickled garlic on the table. The line went super fast. They sit you wherever there there is room. We were sat at a six top that only had four people and we got the other two seats. It's great, every one's happy, enjoying their pho. Ingredients are fresh, noodles were so tasty, and the half done beef is perfect! Soo tender!"

"Had to do the tourist thing and wait in line with 50 other folks from all across Asia and Europe. Ordered 2 bowls of pho to compare, everyone probably thought I was a glutton (which I kinda am), but I didn't expect to come back, so why not. Ordered the "special" and a "rare beef filet, brisket". Broth was flavorful and not too salty. Good umami and beefy. Didn't taste "profound or life-changing" as suggested by others, but a solid bowl of pho, not greasy, clean flavors. Noodles were a little wider than "pho bang" USA and touch softer. 2 big bowls of goodness, total: ~$7 bucks USD, outstanding value. Saw some "Michelin" signs, but not sure what those were about. More tik tok fodder perhaps. Come for the value and not the hype. Yummy."
