What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Suoi Tien Theme Park offers a uniquely chaotic and visually striking experience, blending thrilling rides, water attractions, and bizarre animal encounters with vibrant, legend-inspired architecture. While some visitors praise the novelty and nighttime illumination, others point to issues with ride availability, cash-only policies, and animal welfare concerns in certain areas.
"Had an amazing time! Feeding the crocs was the highlight of the day. Unfortunately, the rides didn’t happen, especially the roller coaster we were most excited about 🙁 due to unexpected rain. Still, it was a fun and memorable experience!😍"

"Visited on a Tuesday in July. At the gate we were told there is a blackout and some of the rides aren't in use and so apparently they couldn't sell us tickets for the whole park and all it's attractions. So we bought adult tickets for 220k/person, including a one-time trip in a train, access to a fruit farm (the ticket said "produce", but you'd have to pay more for food or beverages and access to crocodile park. All rides require additional tickets that were 30-50k/person. Waterpark opened at 1pm, even though the park opened at 8am. Waterpark would have also required an additional tickets.
Neither ATM outside the park was working and of course there are no ATMs inside and all of the tickets must be paid in cash.
Frankly the rides were disappointing. Also we found the crocodile section hideous - all other animals except crocodiles were cramped together in small cages, usually with nothing to play with. It was the saddest zoo I've ever seen.
The decor and the ambiance of the park was much nicer. I really enjoyed the oriental themed decor. Restrooms are clean and easy to find."

"It was much cleaner than when we were here 15 years ago. Modern theme park. However, the ticket prices for individual attractions are quite high for an average local family outing."

The Unique Charm of Suoi Tien
The park's architecture is a major draw, with elaborate decorations and iconic structures that make it visually striking. While some rides might be dated or not always operational, the sheer novelty and distinctiveness of Suoi Tien make it a memorable destination. It's a place that sparks conversation and offers a glimpse into a different kind of theme park entertainment, far removed from the polished perfection of Western counterparts.
Beyond the rides, Suoi Tien also hosts events like the Southern Fruit Festival, adding a cultural layer to the entertainment. This blend of amusement, cultural representation, and sometimes bizarre themes creates an unforgettable adventure for those willing to embrace its eccentricities.
Navigating Rides and Attractions
For those seeking a more adventurous or even slightly terrifying experience, the Crocodile Kingdom allows visitors to witness and even feed hundreds of crocodiles, a truly unique activity. The Magic Castle, on the other hand, is a haunted attraction filled with ghosts and devils, described as very scary and dark, making it more suitable for adults and older teens rather than young children. Visitors have reported that not all rides may be operational, so it's wise to inquire about availability upon arrival to manage expectations.
While the park aims to provide a full day of entertainment, some reviews suggest that individual ride tickets can add up, and the overall value proposition for rides might be a point of consideration for budget-conscious travelers. Despite potential operational issues, the sheer variety and distinctiveness of the attractions ensure there's something to pique the interest of most visitors.
The Animal Encounters: A Mixed Bag
However, some visitor feedback indicates concerns about the welfare of other animals within the park. Reviews mention that animals, apart from crocodiles, are sometimes kept in small, cramped cages with little stimulation, leading to a perception of it being a 'sad zoo.' This aspect can be disheartening for animal lovers and might detract from the overall experience for some.
Despite these concerns, the Crocodile Kingdom remains a popular attraction, offering a distinct and somewhat edgy experience. Visitors are advised to be aware of the conditions and approach this part of the park with a balanced perspective, appreciating the unique crocodile encounters while acknowledging potential welfare issues for other animals.
