Reviews Summary
Ta Giang Phinh Valley's wild cave offers a thrilling, natural adventure for the intrepid, with challenging terrain and unique formations. While the raw beauty is a major draw, visitors should be prepared for slippery conditions, tight squeezes, and potential upselling of services by locals. It's an experience best suited for those seeking an authentic, off-the-beaten-path exploration.
"Wild cave, suitable for adventurous people
At first I found the cave using google, I thought it would be easy to go like any other cave, but it was not! When we arrived at the dark cave, with a deal of 50k, the locals turned on the circuit breaker and the lights turned on, gradually feeling better. Right from the start, the road was very slippery and wet. As soon as I walked, I had to wriggle my way through. Wherever you go, you will be surprised. Sometimes you will climb, sometimes you will crawl... The cave is not open yet, so if you get to a certain point, you will end up on the road and can't go anymore. You can only go back and go around.
The cave is still very wild and natural. Note that the stone pillars are also gradually forming, so do not stand on those places."

"The cave alone is very interesting, but the locals will try and sell you overpriced things, like, 5 times the usual price. Oh and you can haggle for the flashlights, you'll need at least one.
For the cave, we went as far as chamber 8, took us less than 15 minutes. There were more pathways and chambers inside but definitely not for inexperienced explorers.
Tip: pack very light (I took a big backpack there, made it hard to move around) or leave your bags in your vehicle, wear non-slip shoes, long sleeves, and bring someone familiar with the terrain if possible."

"One of the most unique attractions in this area, Ta Phin caves is a must do. Prepare to go spelunking on this adventure as spaces can get to be quite tight and you will get slightly dirty and covered in the local clay/mud which exists throughout the caves. If you stick it out though you will find that it leads you to an underground waterfall which may or may not be running depending on how much it has rained recently.
Would definitely recommend getting a guide and to visit the local house closes to its entrance to get the lights turned on underground as it makes for amazing photos. Our guides were two young kids as their dad is normally the tour guide but was busy when we visited the caves. They provided us with head lamps and torches at 20k dong each. Great experience would do again."
