What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Long Beach Bai Truong for its beautiful, clean beach, pleasant swimming pools, and unique antique architecture that offers a distinct atmosphere. The convenient location near the airport and town is also a plus. However, some guests found the resort food to be uninspired and noted issues with room accuracy, staff English, and limited seating at the beach and pool during peak times.
"Our stay at the Long Beach Resort was wonderful. We really appreciated the unique, historic architecture and the beautiful beachfront location. It offers a very relaxing and distinct atmosphere, and the pools were great. It’s definitely a high-quality place if you want a calm retreat with character.
To mix up the relaxation, we highly recommend the food tour with Moto Nomad Phu Quoc. This was the perfect balance to the resort stay! Being guided by locals on the back of a motorbike to hidden spots allowed us to sample truly authentic street food and see the island’s pulse. It was safe, fun, and the food was unbelievable.
For anyone staying at Long Beach Resort, make sure to carve out time for the Moto Nomad food tour—it’s the best way to connect with the island's authentic culinary side."

"As the name suggests its one of the most popular long beaches in PhuQuoc. Just a stone throw distance from our Hotel.
Pristine water and calm beach"

"Really lovely place to be! You feel well treated and the place in general is quite, clean, and nice. It's located right to their private beach - can get crowded during the afternoon - which is clean and have excellent swimming options. The rooms are big, clean, and nicely cool. I would definitely come back. Only negative is the food from their restaurant which is a bit boring, but then again, go see the town of you fancy a greater food selection!"

Understanding Bai Truong's Layout
The beach itself is characterized by fine, white sand and clear, shallow waters, making it ideal for swimming and family visits. Its western orientation means it's a prime spot for spectacular sunset views, a daily highlight for many visitors. The proximity to Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) and Duong Dong town adds to its convenience as a base for exploring the island.
While the beach is long, it can get crowded, particularly in the central resort areas during peak season and afternoons. However, its sheer length allows for finding more secluded spots if you're willing to explore a bit further from the main hubs.
Resort Experiences and Architectural Charm
A unique aspect highlighted by visitors is the presence of resorts, such as the Long Beach Resort, that feature antique architecture and furnishings. This offers a distinct, historical charm that sets it apart from more modern, contemporary hotels. Guests often describe staying in these rooms as feeling like they are in a 'temple' or a place with significant character, providing a more immersive and memorable experience.
However, it's worth noting that some guests have reported discrepancies between advertised room sizes and actual accommodations, as well as issues with staff English proficiency and training in some establishments. Despite these potential drawbacks, the overall appeal of the beachfront location and the unique architectural elements remain strong draws for visitors seeking a blend of relaxation and character.
Culinary Adventures Beyond the Resort
A highly recommended activity is the Moto Nomad food tour. This unique experience involves being guided by locals on the back of a motorbike to discover hidden street food stalls and sample authentic Phu Quoc cuisine. It's praised for being safe, fun, and offering an unparalleled taste of the island's vibrant food culture.
For those who prefer to dine independently, the nearby town of Duong Dong offers a wider selection of restaurants and local eateries. Exploring these spots allows for a greater variety of flavors and a chance to experience the local way of life.
