"A beautiful church built atop a hill. The way up the hill is densely populated with residential houses and the church itself is accessible by car. (If not fond of strenuous walk, and going by Grab or taxi - make sure you are dropped off at the church and not at the bottom. The walk up is quite steep and challenging for those who have knee or mobility issues but quite pleasant for the lithe and healthy.
The church is quite impressive specially when turning a corner of the narrow street and suddenly sighting it in front above you. Built around a spacious courtyard where a lot of saints statues stand all around the church.
We went on a weekday and were glad to find a door open. The inside of the church is complete with the 14 stations of the cross on the walls, Mama Mary carrying the child Jesus in the center flanked by the Sacred Heart and St Joseph.
This looks to be an active church though because of activity inclined chairs, tables lined up in the sides of the church"

"Hon Gai Church is located in Nui Dao, Bach Dang Ward, Ha Long City. It’s built in 1933, and looked at Bai Tho Mountain but was destroyed in 1967. It was not until 1998 that Hon Gai parish had a lawsuit to build a new and beautiful church.
The church was built on a high hill, Roman style, 42m long, 11m wide, 33m high bell tower. Standing in the church compound, you can see the whole center of Ha Long city.
This is the largest church in Quang Ninh province. Come here you not only know more about the unique religious architecture. But also learn about the traditions of religion and beliefs of the people of Ha Long city."
