Reviews Summary

Hoi An Ancient Town is widely praised for its enchanting atmosphere, particularly at night with its vibrant lanterns and bustling markets. Visitors love the unique cultural experiences like tailoring and delicious local cuisine. While some find parts of the old town touristy, its undeniable charm and historical significance make it a highly recommended destination.

"Hoi An is full of charm, especially at night – the lantern-lit streets, buzzing markets, and street food scene create an amazing atmosphere. The markets were lively and packed with colour, and there are loads of great food and bar options nearby. There’s plenty to do too – cooking classes, bike rides, boat trips – it’s a great spot for backpackers and travellers alike. That said, parts of the old town felt quite touristy, which takes away from some of the authenticity, but it’s still a beautiful place with a unique vibe. I wish I’d had more time there – it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular stop."

"Unique atmosphere and vibrant colors especially at evenings. Recommend to stay after 6 pm to enjoy lanterns, boat trips and great dinner. Round trip by taxi is around 650k; don’t agree to stop at boat trip prior to arrival to Hoi An city ( overpriced , crowd and dirty at 450k boat trip for 2; I assume taxi drivers get commission for the guests they bring there 😜) instead you can get boat trip once you arrive the city. Recommend to have a diner / lunch at Morning Glory"

Mira Belgibayeva

"Simply said everything is just beautiful with a strong heritage and cultural atmosphere. Been here ard 8 years ago, tourism industry progresses very much. Just some shop owners are not very friendly to us anymore except if you are tourist from certain country.
Anyway places are still very nice, but the professional manner and friendliness to all tourists should be progressed at the same time. Would still recommend this place."
