"A beautiful temple, of extraordinary beauty in architecture and decoration both outside and inside. It was built using local materials - sawn shell rock, so all the finishing elements are not molded, but carved in shell rock.
The history of the construction of the temple is interesting.
The well-known grandiose Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Evpatoria was consecrated in 1899, and just 2 years later, in 1901, the Evpatoria Greek Community appealed to the city council to the mayor Mamun Nikolai Andreevich with a request to allocate a place for the construction of a new church.
The Duma made a positive decision and instructed Adam Ludvigovich Genrikh, who held the position of city architect at that time, to choose a place in the architectural plan of Evpatoria and develop a project. The project of the church in the Greco-Byzantine style (in the form of a cross) was developed and built under the supervision of Heinrich in the period from 1911 to 1916. On June 30, 1918, the church was consecrated in honor of the Prophet Elijah. The Church of the Prophet Elijah is one of more than 50 buildings built in Yevpatoria according to the projects of Adam Heinrich during the 25 years when he was the city architect. Therefore, the spirit of Yevpatoria lives in it, along with God's grace."

"The architecture of the temple is very interesting, the interior is relatively small, but cozy. On one of the walls of the temple from the outside you can see a blow, they say from a shell or a rocket, but thank God, the temple works!!!"
