What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
El Perón Perón offers a unique dining experience with a strong political theme and a lively atmosphere, often accompanied by spontaneous songs. While many praise the delicious food, especially the empanadas and steak, some find the overall seasoning lacking flavor. The service is generally good, though can be slow during busy periods. It's a must-visit for those seeking an immersive cultural and culinary journey.
"A popular restaurant - and a history lesson at the same time. Popular amongst “Peronistas” obviously - and you definitely learn a lot about the ambivalent history of Argentina.
But this review is not meant to be about politics of course, so we came here for food and we were served an excellent steak and wine. Very friendly service and great atmosphere."

"I wanted to love this place but didn't. For the second night in a row, I've had food in Buenos Aires that simply didn't meet basic standards for seasoning.
I'll start with the positive: the service was great, and the vibe of the place is a welcoming neighborhood spot. I started with a buffalo meat empanada, and it was delicious. It had all of the flavor I'd expect from a quality empanada...and yet an usual twist with the meat choice.
The rest of the meal was mediocre. The osso buco was cooked well, as the meat was tender. But despite the delicious-looking sauce that covered it, the dish (neither the meat nor the mashed potatoes) had any flavor. I picked at it and left the rest.
The flan was...ok. I've had much better.
The price was reasonable: total meal was under $50USD."

"I wanted to see the Evita memorabilia and enjoyed the visit. Service and music was good as were the happy hour cocktails. The decor and pictures all done nicely."
