What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurante Estancia La Pasion is lauded for its phenomenal Argentinian steaks and exceptional, attentive service, making it a standout dining experience. Visitors frequently praise the quality of the meat and the personalized attention from staff. While most reviews are glowing, a few diners have noted occasional issues with steak preparation.
"We went to Estancia La Pasión for dinner on Sunday night. Javier, our server, made fantastic recommendations for steak and sides that accommodated both our taste and our appetite. There was enough food to satiate us but not overly much. (There were also plenty of vegetarian options, but I wanted to try Argentinian steak - it’s on my bucket list!!)
The hosts were so lovely, in spite of our very limited Spanish, and the fan outside made the outdoor patio experience bearable in the heat of the summer. Our server Javier was particularly attentive and looked after everything to make our experience incredible. 🙏🏻
The steak was phenomenal (👅👅👅) and the wine pairing Javier recommended (Trumpeter Reserve Malbec 2023) was FANTASTIC. I had the fillet medium rare and my mother and aunt had the rib eye to share. Overall easily my best dinner in Argentina. I look forward to visiting here again!!"

"This is an excellent steakhouse in Mendoza! I got the Ojo de Bife (250 gr.) and the Tasting of Empanadas (blood sausage and nut; blue cheese; and Cuyana). The steak came with fries. You also get free bread and breadsticks. Many steaks I tried in Argentina tend to be well done, but I love how I got to choose how well the steak is cooked here (I like mine rare!). The steak came out nice and juicy, and the Empanadas were amazing and savory. The special mayonnaise for the bread was addicting.
The service is top notch as a worker named Diego, and the waiter, were excellent. I wasn't the best with Spanish, so Diego was happy to help along the way. Plus, he had a great personality, making me feel at home.
They have an outdoor patio, and the inside of the place is nice and cozy.
I definitely recommend this place! The price isn't over the top, and the food and service are excellent."

23 Reasons Mendoza Wine Region Needs to Be on Your Radar
1884 Restaurant is a love letter to the wines of Mendoza and the Andean Inca cuisine of the country, helmed by master of open fire cooking, Francis Mallmann. Housed within Escorihuela Winery, it was built in 1884 in an area that was then an open field in Godoy Cruz, a neighborhood that slowly became part of the city of Mendoza through the last century. Classic and comfortable high-back striped chairs and booths are pulled up to long wooden feasting tables laden with Mallmann’s “rebellious classic” cooking style, accented by an open air lounge courtyard and crackling fires.
Mendoza, Argentina – New Worlder
Culinary pioneer Francis Mallmann is behind Mendoza’s original winery restaurant in Godoy Cruz, the southern district closest to Mendoza city. To be expected, fire, in all its technical formats from clay oven to parrilla, is at the heart of this fine-dining establishment where a tight ship serves up an impeccable array of fire-touched ingredients such as charred goat cheese with bell peppers, seven-hour slow-cooked lamb, and roasted peaches and plums drizzled with mascarpone.

Housed in an old winery just a 10-minute taxi ride from the city centre, it specialises in quality meats cooked in Mallmann’s signature ‘seven fires’ style. We quickly dropped our bags and went our for a fat steak at Estancia La Pasión. Nia and Charlie shared a 800g one and I’ve never seen anything so large in my life. I even surprised myself for eating a 500g rib eye on my own!.
