What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Project 49 is celebrated for its exceptional Melbourne-style coffee and delectable pastries, particularly the highly praised ham and cheese croissant. The cafe also doubles as a deli, offering a unique selection of international small goods and artisanal products, contributing to its vibrant atmosphere. While many enjoy the friendly service and cozy ambiance, some reviews mention instances of rude service or higher-than-expected prices for certain items like raisin toast.
"This was my first visit to Beechworth, and it does not disappoint. This cafe/continental store has a broad range of international small goods and Quality wine. We enjoyed our coffee, bacon n cheese toasted roll, peach muffin and apple muffin. The decor is eclectic, a little quirky and some contemporary. ❤️"

"Place is easy to find, lots of parking on mainstreet. They have limited seating with a few small tables inside and out.
They offer takeaway drinks and lots of sandwiches/sweet treats. The menu is small but has quality items on it.
Coffee was nice and so was the food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a booking.
Dogs are allowed outside, and the prices are quite reasonable.
Would recommend."

"This place is SO good!! Coffee was so delicious, awesome range of pastries, and the panini’s… I had the ham one - with picked cabbage, house pickled cucumber and, I think, hot mustard - amazing! Great range of wines and spirits, charcuterie stuff.. I could have gone nuts…
Would go back here everyday I was in Beechworth…"
