What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners frequently praise Allonda for its stunning, flavorful food and exceptional 5-star service, creating a perfect ambiance for gatherings or date nights. However, some guests have noted issues with outdoor seating being too dark and cramped indoors, and one experience reported significant booking problems and a perceived high price for the shared feast.
"We appreciated that this spot was dog-friendly so we could enjoy a nice evening without the guilt of leaving our boy at home. Our server was very efficient and was also very kind to our pet which we really appreciated. A great local spot if you’re after good food with a vibe that’s a bit more low key!"

"Very disappointing valentines day service - multiple issues with booking due to an ex staff member not placing my reservation properly weeks prior.
After some discussion feel like we come to a nice resolution of an earlier booking for an outside table and some bubbles on arrival for the trouble.
Upon arrival, no mention of anything above and seating plan seems to have been canceled told to sit anywhere - set menu shows a $110pp menu consisting of 2 starters an entree and main with desert - all food items came to the table as a single serving size to be shared, while the food was of good quality and well cooked this price point was far too high for what was offered - with 1 beer and 2 margs added on our total came to slightly under $300 a price that just felt to high considering all the issues and failed promises."

"Thoroughly enjoyed the food here! The sweetest strawberries with the burrata, perfectly creamy mushroom ravioli, gnocchi was toasty and flavourful and the steak was perfect! My mocktail was also perfect, not too sweet :) Our service was fantastic as well, we appreciate that dining on a weeknight means less staff, so food and drink takes just a teeny bit longer for it to arrive. But honestly I love that because it means my loved ones and I had more time to catch up in between entrees and mains. There’s no need for family dining to be in a rush ❤️"

12 Best New Restaurants in Brisbane
From Sebastiaan de Kort and Kevin Docherty, the talented creators of NOTA Restaurant and Wine Bar in Paddington, comes Allonda, a 90-seat restaurant in a laneway space off Longland Street in Newstead. The menu in this sleek scandi-styled restaurant is broadly European-based, using premium Australian ingredients with the highlight of a raw seafood and burrata bar.Expect freshly made pasta paired with a secret recipe from Nonna, Venetian risotto, West Australian scampi, and chicken liver parfait. Their signature tempura fish sandos (think Rick Shore’s bug rolls but with fish) also grace the menu.

When word hit that NOTA was saying farewell after six years — with co-owners and chefs Kevin Docherty and Sebastiaan de Kort instead turning their attention to Newstead's Allonda, which they opened in 2022 — the pair thankfully revealed that a new eatery would take over. Attimi now turns the popular Brissie address into an Italian fine-diner, with cues gleaned from Europe's best.
