Reviews Summary

Exhibition Restaurant offers an unforgettable fine dining experience, praised for its inventive, artfully presented dishes and exceptional, personalized service. Diners are consistently blown away by the multi-sensory journey and the attention to detail in every course. While the price point is high, most agree the culinary artistry, unique atmosphere, and seamless execution make it well worth the splurge for a special occasion.

"Possibly one of the best experiences of my life, I don't think they could have done anything to create a better experience. The food was just amazing, every dish was beautifully balanced, well thought out and experimental. The atmosphere was perfect, intimate with limited seats but not oppressive or condescending.

The best part was probably the service! Our servers were just incredible so knowledgeable of what they were serving and clearly in love with the work that they do. They spoke to us by name and carefully explained each dish and drink. When we showed excitement for their processes, they went out of their way to show us even more. AND when we arrived, they gave us free cocktails as a welcome to one of us who is frequent guest!!

I cannot wait to come back, and hope to book again for husband and I'm anniversary.

Thank you, Exhibition, for a truly amazing night!"

"Exhibition, is a curated journey and a celebration of when vision meets skilled-execution, and passion meets collaboration and service.

Of course the food was beyond amazing; but so were the less obvious elements like the pauses between courses, the care in which even the plates in the pantry were stacked, the collaborative and calm kitchen, and the amazing servewear / cutlery.

We were completely blown away by the detail in which the staff explained the dishes and the service in general. Yes, the training must be exceptional...but at the end of the day, I think it's when a shared vision and pride in that vision becomes visible for everyone to see.

This is truly a sensational dining experience; and we're so lucky to have this in Brisbane."

"visited a while back ago and did the Exhibition Experience—what an unforgettable journey. From start to finish, you’re taken through a full farm-to-table adventure, tasting some of the freshest local produce, each ingredient thoughtfully crafted into a series of stunning dishes. One by one, they arrive, each more impressive than the last. It’s not just a meal—it’s a story told through flavor. Absolutely worth the time and every cent. A truly special way to celebrate any occasion—highly recommended."

Exhibition is home to one of the best omakase experiences in the city. Essential omakase in a subterranean CBD spaceTim Scott moved on from the acclaimed Joy (also fabulous, if you can nab a booking) to open this precise, Japanese influenced restaurant in the heart of the CBD. Head down the stairs into a moody, subterranean bolthole as Scott channels his vivid creativity into an experience designed to showcase the best local produce (the restaurant’s co-owner is Michael Nguyen of Thai Hoa Grocer – one of the best suppliers of fresh produce in the city).

There’s a discernible confidence in the air as you descend into this subterranean 24-seater beneath Brisbane’s Metro Arts Theatre. That sense of composure continues with technically astute snacks like saline abalone parfait on pillowy fingers of Japanese milk bread, or a duck dashi that proves an unexpectedly refreshing palate cleanser. Chef-owner Tim Scott’s drive for the best produce – even acquiring vegetable plots on a suburban farm – is the framework for his fresh, ever-changing and exciting take on the omakase format.
