The Great Ocean Road is home to some pretty awesome brewers who are passionate about sharing their craft in their eclectic venues. One of our favourite brewery come restaurant in Torquay is Blackmans Brewery, which features brews with quirky names like Regional (IPA) that’ll “jump from the glass and fill your nostrils with every sip” or Ernie (Golden Ale) an “all rounder made with session-ability and Sinatra in mind.“ Can’t choose?.

Blackman’s Brewery, a family-owned establishment, is renowned for its award-winning beers. Founded by brothers Ben and Paul Blackman in 2009, this brewery offers a diverse selection of IPAs, pale ales, stouts, porters, and sours. With three venues across Torquay, Geelong, and Ocean Grove, Blackman’s Brewery provides a welcoming atmosphere for beer lovers to enjoy delicious brews, tasty pub food, and vibrant events throughout the year.

Also if you're going to whine about wine, you can taste a wheat-based beverage at Blackman’s Brewery. Obviously, if you don't fancy driving take a tour with Andy's Trails, and discover the full gamut of the Bellarine and Surf Coasts vineyards, craft beers, ciders and gin. If you’re heading westwards along the Great Ocean Road, this is the ideal place to start your adventure. Boasting a core range that shifts from a flavoursome lager to their flagship West Coast style Reginald IPA, taking in the likes of a witbier and smoked porter along the way, the brewery opened by Jess and Renn Blackman in Bell Street has a reputation that stretches well beyond the Surf Coast.

Blackman’s Brewery: If you’re looking for excellent beers to pair with excellent food, then Blackman’s is the place to be. They offer up around 10 beers year-round with a couple of seasonal options now and then. As with the other breweries in Torquay, you can opt for a tasting paddle; theirs offers up six of their beers to sample, and we’re particular fans of their wildberry sour.

A hop, skip and jump from the Torquay Hotel is Blackmans Brewing, literally placed 500 metres from the beach. This independently-owned brew company known for their colourful, in flavour and appearance, beers has created a bubbly venue to reflect their signature brand. At Blackman’s brewery, their philosophy is this: we love good beer, it’s really that simple.

Blackman’s Brewery is arguably one of the most popular bars to drink at in all of Torquay and its reputation is deserved. This microbrewery also holds the unofficial title of as one of the top brewpubs in all of Victoria, bringing in beer-lovers from across the state.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to grab a drink, Blackman’s Brewery is independently owned and brews and packages everything onsite. You can try their array of beer on tap and have a meal with plenty of tasty options. They have pizzas, burgers, fish tacos and parmas served in their rustic restaurant and beer garden.

Blackmans Brewery Torquay is another of those local places which also has branches elsewhere. In addition to Blackmans Torquay, there are venues in Geelong and Ocean Grove. While Blackmans is primarily a local craft brewery, it’s also one of the top Torquay restaurants for lunch or dinner.
