Welcome to ✨Larder✨ one of the cafe’s that NEEDS to be on your list if you visit Daylesford, Victoria, just a short drive from Melbourne ☕️ The main cafe side of this location is full of color and life, complete with abstract art and energizing music, the perfect way to start your day 🌈 If you’re more in the mood to be away from other people or want a more restaurant vibe, cross the hallway for a second seating area! The coffee is also a 10/10 🤌 the baristas working are beyond friendly (always a big plus) and you definitely will have some stunning latte art to look at! I wasn’t able to try the menu, but the options looked fantastic and they had a range of items for dietary restrictions 🍳 SUMMARY: 📍Larder, Daylesford, Victoria 💰A$4 for a basic (fantastic) coffee 🧍‍♀️service: 10/10 Follow for more cafe reviews and coffee love! #latteart #cafe #coffeeshop #latte #review #coffee

Apple pie… for breakfast? 👀🍎🥣
Larder in Daylesford nails the cosy vibe with their famous apple pie porridge . Creamy oats, stewed apples, granola + a hint of cinnamon. Basically dessert for breakfast and I’m not mad about it. ✨ Would you try this on your next foodie getaway? #DaylesfordEats #FoodieTikTok #BrunchVibes #AustraliaFoodie #TravelTok

Reviews Summary

Maze Cafe & Larder is praised for its delightful, homely atmosphere and flavorful dishes like smashed avocado and big breakfasts, with milkshakes being a standout. While many appreciate the friendly service and unique decor, some reviews mention issues with inconsistent food quality and overpriced items, particularly concerning steak dishes.

"Perfect spot for a cuppa and a browse.
We stopped in at Mill Café & Larder and were instantly charmed. The scones were light and fluffy, served with generous dollops of jam and cream, and the tea was just right—hot, strong, and served with a view of the sunny deck. Tucked next to the massive vintage market, it’s the ideal spot to recharge before (or after) a good rummage through the treasures. Friendly, unfussy, and quietly delightful."

David Farrar

"Friendly smile and prompt counter service from the team as we arrived for lunch. Well cared for space, plenty of team that kept the service flowing. Returned for a cuppa and a scone after finishing the second half of the market before heading home. Good range on the menu, reasonably priced and the team friendly and helpful."

Ann Dawkins

"Thoroughly enjoyed my experience for brunch at the Maze Cafe. Food was so delicious, coffee was great and the service was lovely. They have done a great job of making the cafe feeling homely and welcoming, which is exactly what you’re after when in Daylesford. Would certainly recommend!"

A hit-list of Daylesford cafes for brunch & coffee

A tried and true local hangout, Larder Cafe does a roaring trade in specialty coffee and hearty brunch, lunch and breakfast classics. The sizable menu includes baked eggs, a big breakfast, eggs Benny and more, but you’ll find a fair few innovative dishes added into the mix on the specials board – think yoghurt panna cotta with rhubarb, and panko-crusted eggs with an Asian fennel salad. Those who love a more bespoke DIY option will be thrilled, as Larder’s list of optional sides is wildly long.
