Ravens Coffee

Located opposite the river in the town centre, you’re likely to find it filled with locals grabbing their morning brew. Owner Nick Raven roasts his own specialty-grade coffee beans using a small batch five-kilogram roaster on the shop floor, so you can watch the action while you wait for your order. The shop also serves cuisine-crossing breakfasts and lunches with a focus on raw and plant-based foods (including pad Thai and pasta made with zucchini noodles), plus laksa and haloumi masala curry.

Raven makes some of the best brew south of Perth and roast their own beans, and there’s a decent selection of pastries and sandwiches, too. The Green Pantry does amazing coffee art using Stash brand locally roasted coffee – they also stock Bred Co’s pastries and make the ubiquitous city fave, Buddha bowls. Green Pantry also don’t supply single-use coffee cups (a move we love) so be sure to bring your own if you want takeaway.

Ravens is a coffee roaster and café serving breakfast and lunch every day, located just over the bridge if you’re driving in from Albany. There, you can find sushi, raw desserts, avo toast, wraps and other yummy dishes, as well as quality coffee. Located right in the middle of town, Bibbulmun Café offers alfresco seating, making it a great place to sit and watch this sleepy town go by.

Berridge Park, the gazebo and the Denmark River are directly opposite so you can walk across to the River's edge.

A specialty coffee roaster and cafe in the centre of town, Ravens is the place to go for a warming cup of coffee, paired with brekkie, brunch or lunch. You’ll find healthy salads, quiches, paninis and juices, as well as a menu dedicated to lunchtime treats.

Another Denmark favourite, as you can imagine Raven also take their coffee very seriously, and they don’t mind a little experimenting with their various (delicious) blends. They also offer a few tasty bakery treats and a small – but tasty – breakfast menu.

Literally just avo on toast with a couple small dishes of sambal and tomato chutney. Toast was GF bread straight out the supermarket white bread from the freezer and was soggy rather than toasted. Staff refused to add on a poached egg for extra $.

They roast their own coffee beans, and there’s a huge variety of specialty coffees available. If you love the coffee, you can also buy bags of coffee beans. It is in a great location, just across the park and the river.
