Reviews Summary
Gold Leaf Restaurant is celebrated for its authentic Cantonese cuisine, particularly its traditional yum cha and signature dishes like lobster noodles and Peking duck. While many praise the food quality, value, and the restaurant's classic ambiance, some reviewers have noted issues with slow service, noisy environments during peak hours, and occasional inconsistencies in food preparation or order accuracy. The recent management changes seem to have positively impacted the dining experience for some.
"We have a birthday celebration here with the Lobster banquet for 6 people. It comes with:
(1) Entree: Oysters x 12 (we ordered the half half of Garlic and XO.)
(2) Entree: Sharkfin soup.
(3) Entree/main: Lobster cooked in ginger sauce.
Both (1), (2) and (3) are great. Well cooked, fresh and great tastes.
Then, for the mains, apart from the steamed fish, we have to choose three dishes from a large selection. See the attached pictures.
We had:
(1) Fried chicken
(2) Fried tau foo
(3) Fried venison with broccoli
Again, all the dishes were well cooked. The fish was fresh.
And everything was cooked to perfection.
The serving staff were very attentive, and thanks so much to Ivan, the Head Waiter. He took our order and had great recommendations for us. He was very attentive and responsive to our needs. What an asset for Gold Leaf Restaurant.
The only thing to watch out for is a 10% surcharge during the weekend.
Enjoy your meals here."

"If you're looking for great food, fast service, and incredible value, this is your place. The generous portions and free soup, fruit, and dessert are a steal. The lobster noodles and Peking duck are delicious, and the free parking is a huge plus. It can get noisy, but the speed and value make it worth it. Reservations recommended."

"Look if you want authenticity then here it is. The old theme of this restaurant is where the quality of food stays at. They prioritise taste and food presentation more than anything else. Chefs and recipes are still stuck in the past and that's exactly what you want. The OG taste. Flavours like these will be rare in the future"
