Reviews Summary

Diners rave about Tatler Lane by Sweetbrew for its exceptional coffee and inventive vegetarian Middle Eastern-inspired brunch menu, highlighting fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly service contribute to a highly recommended dining experience, though some find the music a bit intrusive.

"Nice place, the food was excellent, tasty and well presented. Staff was friendly and helpful. They knew the menu and were happy to suggest. We had the tomato medley and the omelette. Both were very nice. A little on the large size for us but ok.
Music a little intrusive. Heavy on the beat, but being boomers probably to be expected.
Coffee was really nice. Would come again."

"We stopped here for brunch our first choice was booked and busy. Aren’t we glad we did service 5* and a beautiful vibe too. What a lovely space all 4 of our group ordered something different all equally happy and empty plates. Green Shakshuka eggs delicious"

L healey

"Spacious and beautiful architecturally designed cafe. Brunch breakfast cafe by day, bar by night. Plenty of seating and an extensive menu for both drinks and food. Cost fireplace towards the back and more dining up the stairs to the loft seating. I found the staff really friendly and helpful especially catering for our large group of noisy kids. Beautiful coffee. I had a pour over and enjoyed it."

Here's 10 of Launceston's best cafes, where to get the best coffee

Believe it or not, finding traceable, high-quality coffee beans in Tasmania was once a tall order. Archana Brammall and Tim Brammall helped to change that in 2014 with Sweetbrew, which is now a benchmark for quality, transparency, and education in the industry. When asked what makes a good coffee, Mrs Brammall said choosing the right beans was key.

A foodie's guide to Launceston, Tasmania

If coffee is more your thing, fight for a table at Launceston's Sweetbrew and simply refuse to leave. The staff are militant about measuring each cup at exactly 22g of coffee, and blind-tasting the milk they use — and it's a strategy that pays dividends.
