It wasn’t until 1963 that winemaking activity relaunched with the planting of vines at Yarra Valley and was subsequently followed over the next decade with the emergence of other now iconic wineries such as Yering Farm Wines, Tokar Estate, Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, Four Pillars Gin Distillery, Coldstream Brewery, Yering Station Winery, Soumah Wines, Payten & Jones and the re-establishment of two of the valleys original founding wineries St Huberts and Yeringberg.

The mates who founded Coldstream Brewery in 2007 reckon there’s no better way to honour a brewery than to turn it into a pub. Born two weeks apart at the same hospital, then reunited at kindergarten, the founders started brewing in what is now The Brewery Bar. While beer is no longer made on the premises, the brewery beers remain true to the original recipes with locally sourced hops, malt and yeast – and they now make cider, too.

At the daily festival, visitors can pick from the endless rows of cherry trees at either the 100-acre Coldstream orchard (from 13 November – late December) or at the 85-acre Wandin East orchard (from 27 November – early January). Guests can eat as many cherries as they like straight from the trees, and take-home cherries, which are charged by the kilo. Pack a picnic and take in the scenic rolling hills that surround the orchards.

Good quality menu and beers, But for food is bit pricey though you get what you pay for!. I liked their dark ale the most. My wife as gluten free said their pizza base and ingredients is awesome.
