Eleonore's Restaurant @ Chateau Yering

Occupying a grand, Victorian-style dining hall is the hotel’s celebrated restaurant, Eleonore’s. Seasonal menus turn prime regional produce into creative, well-balanced, thoughtfully presented dishes such as duck breast with liquorice, thyme, bronze fennel and rice papadum. Yarra Valley hotel Chateau Yering is hosting a series of dinners throughout 2020 in its in-house restaurant Eleonore’s. Take a trip back in time at Eleonore’s (42 Melba Hwy, Yering, (03) 9237 3333), the one-hat restaurant in historic Chateau Yering and try the suckling pig with eel, apple and shiitake. Located in the heritage-listed Chateau Yering, Eleonore’s Restaurant delivers destination dining in a 19th century chateau. Executive Chef Mark Ebbels dishes up five-course tasting menus under gold leaf ceiling roses and antique brass light fittings. He also offers two options for omnivores and vegans, while sommeliers pair their wines with each dish.

Chateau Yering is a stunning historic homestead style hotel that was given new life in 1997 to make it a five-star hotel. It’s something from another world, with period fittings, incredible service, and little toy cats used as ‘do not disturb signs’. It makes the hallways look equally adorable and hilarious at the same time.
