Reviews Summary

A1 Bakery is a beloved Melbourne institution, celebrated for its consistently delicious and affordable Middle Eastern fare, including its famous pies and pizzas. Diners praise the freshness, flavor, and friendly service, making it a go-to spot for many over decades. While prices have increased, the quality remains a major draw, though some wish for more locations.

"I was really impressed by their prices at first, and it’s no surprise the place is very busy. I also enjoyed the food a lot ㅡ I only wish there was a location in the CBD or around Richmond"

Hye

"Been coming here for over 20 years! Prices have gone up significantly but taste remains the best out of the other branches.
Zaatar Cheese (off menu) $6 is my favourite 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
The cheese blend is different from the ones I had when living in the UAE but still good.

Pies and pizzas here are way fresher compared to the Fitzroy outlet."

Nana

"A true institution born from the suburb of Brunswick, A1 bakery supplies to many local groceries stores either their daily middle eastern baked goods. All their menu are made fresh and can’t also be bought in their main store here. We ordered the Zaatar with veggies and cheese pie. Truthfully, nothing on the menu is bad. Prices are very reasonable and the taste is amazing."
