Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise Farmer's Daughters for its fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes, as well as its attentive and warm service. The restaurant's commitment to showcasing Gippsland produce is a major highlight. While most experiences are exceptional, some reviews note a slight dip in flavor consistency in certain dishes compared to previous visits.

"I had such a wonderful experience at Farmer’s Daughters! The staff went above and beyond – they even surprised me with a free cocktail for my birthday, which was AMAZING.

We ordered the truffle fries, potatoes, lamb, steak, the sausage, and a salad, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The food was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and beautifully presented.

The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole evening really special.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough – the perfect spot for a celebration or just an incredible meal in the city!"

"I frequently visit this establishment as it is one of my favorite places to catch up with friends, thanks to its inviting atmosphere, convenient location, and consistently high-quality food and service. As always, I welcomed my friends as if it were their first visit, eager to introduce them to the experience.

While the menu has changed, retaining only a few signature dishes, I found that the overall taste did not meet previous expectations. My partner and I both noticed a decline in flavor, even in our longtime favorites - the fish and bread. Although the evening was enjoyable, the food quality was somewhat disappointing. I hope this was an isolated experience and that future visits will reflect the high standards I’ve come to appreciate."

"This was our second time back at Farmer's Daughters. The food was just as amazing as our first time — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced in taste and texture.

Our hostess, Bridget, made the experience even better with her attentive, considerate, and friendly service. Even on a very busy night, she remained warm and welcoming, and took the time to chat with us about the food (especially the delicious alpine trout and the soda bread!) and our experience. Her genuine care and hospitality made the evening truly memorable. Thanks Bridget and the rest of the Farmer's Daughters team!"
