What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lagotto is lauded for its creative modern Italian cuisine, particularly its exceptional focaccia and inventive pasta dishes. Diners frequently praise the friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff, contributing to a warm and intimate atmosphere. However, some reviews mention that certain dishes can be overly rich or salty, and a few experienced longer than expected waits, particularly for a hatted establishment.
"one of the best meals and service i’ve had at a restaurant in melbourne. The moreton bay bug pasta was out of this world. the crudo was amazing. everything was so delicious
the staff were so attentive and friendly, and you can tell they care about what they do."

This Italian restaurant serves good enough variety of dishes.
The vibe is warm and cozy. Only number of dinning area seats are very limited. So better to book long in advance.
The staff are caring and professional. Constantly checking on you and polite and knowledgeable.
We found dishes not made with very fresh ingredients. However steak was good quality and grade beef.
Cocktails was good, only too much Ice which make it very unpleasant to sip.
The disappointment part was dessert. Very basic with cafe standard presentation.

Lagotto’s handmade pasta dishes are twisted just a little – squid-ink spaghettini, perhaps, tangled with spanner crab and sea urchin roe, or deeply satisfying carbonara given interest with white asparagus. This is Italian, yes, but like the stunning focaccia with molasses glaze and brown butter, layered well beyond your local. A combination of dates, mates and families bring bustle to a room filled with marble and terrazzo.
