What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ruse Bar and Brasserie is highly praised for its exceptional food, particularly the perfectly cooked steaks and flavorful entrees, complemented by a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere. While many commend the attentive service and overall dining experience, some reviews mention occasional issues with over-seasoning in certain dishes and inconsistent service pacing during busy periods. Despite minor criticisms, the restaurant is a standout destination for its quality offerings and sophisticated ambiance.
"Great atmosphere, good service. Waiters made sure to check up on us regularly and there was plenty of space for families. We tried a variety of foods (eggplant, prawn, tuna tart, lamb belly, scotch fillet) as the food seemed intended to be shared and each was delicious. The scotch fillet was cooked perfectly and was cut for us to share. Our highlight was the tuna and lamb tarts. Even though they were started they made the rest of meals enjoyable. Prices were high but justified, we will come back again."

"We keep coming back here as the food is absolutely amazing!!!
We celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner recently and shared a number of dishes from the menu. The servers were very attentive, clear in our plates in between courses and topping up our drinks quickly. They also surprised our friend for her birthday with a dessert and candle! Always happy with the experience we have here. Thank you!"

"It’s rare to find a restaurant that truly ticks every box from start to finish, but Ruse absolutely delivered. The atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable, and the food was a 10/10 - perfectly balanced in both texture and flavour. What truly elevated the experience was our incredible waiter, Ronni. His energy, attentiveness, and genuine service made us feel completely looked after. A standout dining experience in Parramatta Square - highly recommend"
