What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about Long Chim's authentic and flavorful Thai street food, often praising the bold spices and vibrant atmosphere. While many celebrate the exceptional taste and unique dining experience, some reviews mention challenges with service consistency, particularly during busy times, and occasional issues with spice levels or portioning on set menus.
"If you’re craving authentic Thai food in Perth, look no further than Long Chim (ลองชิม). From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements the vibrant flavors of Thailand. The menu offers a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The Pad Thai is a standout — balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, saltiness, and spice. The green curry is rich and fragrant, with tender pieces of chicken and perfectly cooked vegetables. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy chili basil stir-fry is a must-try.
What sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and passionate about sharing the flavors of Thailand with their guests. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, you can expect a top-notch experience every time.
If you’re in the mood for a true Thai feast, this is hands down one of the best places to visit in Perth! Highly recommend."

"Great place.
I hesitated when the waitress said, " now the food is pretty spicy, are we going to be okay..." but the orange prawn curry was a beautiful, thick, tomato flavoured reward.
It is an interesting space to spend time in and the open kitchen is fascinating to watch."

"First time here for a quick lunch after recommendation from our son. Staff was great and ambiance is nice. Parking can be challenging for this part of town. Food came very timely for a 1hr expensive park.
Curry fish - broth has depth without being heavy. Fish was cooked well. A very delicious plate of food. Can be spicy for some.
Fish cakes - a great side, serious heat but nicely balanced with the sweet dressing and cucumber.
Skewer lamb - Too much fat/too little lean meat. As the fat was not rendered enough, the dish was largely inedible. Staff was good enough to take it off the bill.
Overall it was a positive outing despite the total fail for the lamb.
I still don't get why Thai cuisines are significantly more pricey than others in Perth regardless of location; I struggle with the value proposition in general."
