"Seastar Chinese Restaurant is a true gem! The atmosphere is good, the service is top-notch, and the food is simply outstanding. I was particularly impressed with their Yangchow Fried Rice, which is hands down my favorite. The rice is perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generously packed with a delightful mix of ingredients. Another standout dish is the Salt and Pepper Bean Curd. It's crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Seastar Chinese Restaurant has definitely won me over with its delicious offerings and warm hospitality. I keep coming back here whenever I visit the Northern Beaches. Highly recommended!"

"Absolutely appalling customer service. We ordered some food from them, and decided to pick it up because we live right around the corner and their takeaway menu mentioned a 10% discount off pick up orders over $45 (We ordered a special pack for 75).
1) We were refused the discount in a very rude manner, because we « ordered a pack ». When asked why does the menu not mention this exclusion (photo attached), the cashier used a very unnecessary tone and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. 2) the cashier would not look at me once during the entire time I spoke to him and would only respond to a man (is this a cultural thing or a choice not to respond to a woman talking to you?).
Finally, why advertise something you are not happy to grant, and offend your customers by forcing them into a ridiculous and humiliating activity of negotiating 7 dollars. Just do not offer a discount in the first place.

"Retro Chinese. Clearly hits the mark with lots of people, given full house + busy takeaway. Good service, but disappointing food. Too much cornflour in the chow mein, and in the prawns, broccoli and snow peas. Salt and pepper squid was only warm and precooked. Best dish was the Mongolian lamb with pancakes. Overall, a disappointing dinner. If you like retro, go for it but we won’t be back."
