What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Rainforest Cafe Port Macquarie offers a unique dining experience within a serene rainforest setting, praised for its tranquil atmosphere and nature immersion. While many enjoy the coffee and dishes like the slow-cooked beef brisket, some reviews mention inconsistent food quality and high prices. The adjoining rainforest boardwalk is a significant draw, adding to the overall appeal of the location.
"Immersed in the wilderness! You can stay inside or outside and experience the same total immersion in nature with the sound of birds and the rustling of plants. The staff is friendly and courteous! The cafe is well presented with spaces accessible to all. A large and convenient parking lot outside the cafe is located inside the sea acres rainforest center. I think the prices are a bit high compared to the prices of Sydney a $6.70 for a large almond latte. I leave a high rating because maybe it's just my impression... will I go back? No!"

"Great atmosphere in a rainforest setting, (although outdoor seating is closed when it rains) . I've had some reasonable food here, but was keen to try the scone with jam & cream, as I believe they are baked on-site. It seems the chef left it in the microwave for 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds, as it was hard, tough and stuck to the plate! I actually had trouble biting into it, as it was so hard! (I'll put this down to a one-off anomaly)."
