What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
MAIZ Mexican Food is praised for its incredibly authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine, with many highlighting the fresh, innovative dishes and vibrant flavors. Diners love the friendly and attentive service, creative cocktails, and the unique atmosphere that transports them to Mexico. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention that some dishes can be a bit too spicy or that certain items were not as flavorful as expected.
"MAIZ truly left us in awe! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and eager to help. We chose to sit at the bar as a couple, and we thoroughly relished watching the bartenders craft some of the most exquisite margarita varieties we've experienced over the years. Their expertise and passion for their craft were unmistakable.
When it came to the food, we were recommended the set menu priced at $70 per person, and it proved to be an excellent choice—delicious and satisfying! The welcome shot, the ESQUITES, and especially the main dish, the HUARACHE featuring tender beef cheeks, were absolute standouts for us.
To top it off, the ice blocks served at the end added a surprisingly refreshing touch to the meal. While we weren’t particularly fond of the cactus tostada, everything else completely dazzled us. This Mexican restaurant has certainly carved a special place in our memories!"

"Favourite food I’ve had in a really really long time, we were truly transported to Mexico. Unreal food and cocktails, and super high quality. Perfect balance for veggies and meat eaters alike (we all loved the cactus to share). Really innovative menu which the staff was happy to explain and answer all our questions. Thanks for a great night!"

"Extremely authentic Mexican food! Wow — it felt like being in Mexico with extremely delicious salsas + beautifully cooked steak.
I love to order the TLACOYO DIVORCIADO + STEAK. There is a bean-filled + stuffed tortilla at the base with a layer of eggs and steak. It is to DIE FOR!
The staff here are super happy and willing to make you feel comfortable which is what I love about a dining experience like this.
Domi, the manager is always super friendly and the bartender, he is so awesome!!
Their menu is different on the weekends vs the nights. Come during both times to get two different experiences!!!!
Thank you!!!!"
