"I’ve been to this place at least three times and the quality of food has always been too good for words.

The ingredients used are always fresh, the style of cooking is a marriage between Japanese and French cuisine. The service is great - all the staff encountered from the entrance are polite and entertaining to say the least. Each and every food item is presented well with healthy level of info about where the ingredients came from, and how each item was prepared.

In one of my visits, we went for the wine-pairing option, and although it was really good, that was a bit too much alcohol for my small body frame.

In one of my visits, both my cousin and I were celebrating our milestone birthdays, and Tetsuya’s gave each one of us a selection of free desserts. I’d like to go back again one day."

"We first dined here >15 years ago and held fond memories so decided to come back one more time before the establishment closes for good. The food tastes just as good as it did all those years ago - with the ocean trout their signature dish. The restaurant was absolutely packed out on a weeknight due to everyone wanting to try/return one last time so service was a little rushed. We didn’t mind it too much as the first time from memory it took 4-5 hours to dine and way too much time between each dish but the second time around it only took 3 hours. The 8 course degustation is priced at $320pp without wine pairing but where you get caught out is $20 tea $20 water $25 parking $15 oysters etc so our total bill was way more than $320pp. Is it exorbitant pricing in this climate of high living costs? Yes but twice in 15 years is okay for quality food. The end of an era… we will miss it."

"The oysters were great, as were the salad of scampi/uni/caviar. The ocean trout lived up to the hype, but unfortunately the dining experience as a whole did not. Every other dish didn't feel refined and the Australian wine pairings felt hit-and-miss.
