City Lane is a sophisticated, New York inspired precinct complete with street art, funky décor and an atmosphere to match!. The City Lane precinct truly is the day to night dining solution.

Inspired by Melbourne laneways, City Lane brings together a tight collection of quality eating and drinking venues. Stalwarts Donna Bionda, The Courtyard and Shaw and Co have been sitting among the exposed brickwork since the lane opened in 2014, and there’s now also the likes of a wholefood and espresso cafe and the TapHouse, pouring craft beer from across Australia.

Townsville’s own boutique laneway dining precinct boats a range of funky bars and a variety of street food and dining options. Born Wild, a paddock to plate experience, Donna Bionda modern italian, Shaw and Co for an ale and upmarket pub food, The Courtyard for that Amarican street food experience, The Taphouse for a boutique beer and Zizigo Korean Cuisine

With breathtaking views, small beaches, and excellent weather, we absolutely loved Townsville and think that the city is totally underrated. It is large enough to be a city, but without the traffic jams found in larger cities. There are many shopping malls, an inviting city center, and the beach promenade, which was our personal highlight.

City Lane is a popular bar with a sophisticated atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks. Osk Bar, located just off the Strand on Gregory Street, is known for its contemporary and classic cocktails in an intimate setting, perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.

The cosmopolitan dining and entertainment hub features a selection of restaurants and bars dotted amongst exposed brickwork from the original buildings, cobblestone paths and a range of commissioned street art from internationally acclaimed and local artists.

The Courtyard is a lovely relaxed space for you and your dog. They are open for lunch through to dinner. Remember $3 Tacos every Tuesday and I love a cold Great Northern Crisp to wash them down, or maybe Burgers and Freakshakes?
