Reviews Summary
Townsville Brewing Co. is praised for its unique atmosphere within a historic post office building and a good selection of craft beers. While many enjoy the food, particularly schnitzels and wings, some recent reviews suggest a decline in food quality, with inconsistencies noted in dishes like burgers and pizzas. The staff are generally considered friendly, though service speed can sometimes be an issue.
"Delicious food with the veal schnitzel and the buffalo wings ! Good pricing at $22 and $19 respectively with specials, while packing a punch of a taste .
A lovely atmosphere with even lovelier staff
Will definitely come back once again !"
Nixon Tan
"Great atmosphere and reasonable beers. It would have rated higher If I hadn't bought the townie burger. Which was gross. Good chips though"
Smashed Avo
"The beers are pretty good but the food standard has decreased significantly to the point where I would no longer eat here. The pizza base looked and tasted like it was purchased in bulk and the tomato ‘base’ was literally diced tinned tomatoes. Burger was average with fries that tasted like bulk purchased frozen mush. Calamari was oily and only just cooked. Such a shame as the food here used to be amazing with smoked meats and fresh made dishes. Now it’s just frozen, reheated crap."
