This little restaurant's location on the seventh floor of the chic Rathausgalerie is as lofty as its reputation. The entire restaurant is encased in glass, providing you with sensational views of the Old City, and thanks to the creative menu, it has gained the reputation of one of Innsbruck's best hidden gems. Guests can choose between a handful of seasonal set menus, each with captivating dishes made from fresh local ingredients.

Stunning city panorama views through floor-to-ceiling windows make the steel and glass Lichtblick an urban dining destination. Located on the top floor of the modern Rathausgalerien Mall, it’s on the Gault Millau recommended list, with a menu that is a visionary blend of Austrian cuisine, Mediterranean flair and Asian flavours, all beautifully presented. On top of that, there’s an extensive Austrian and International wine list.

In town, Restaurant Lichtblick offers great views of the Nordkette mountains and a menu that changes weekly. For lunchtime street food, head to Franziskanerplatz on weekdays and try vegan Kartoffel curry or a Malaysian meat pot from Futterkutter. It makes food fresh each day from local ingredients and travels from place to place by bicycle.

Located on the top floor of the stylish Rathausgalerien town hall and shopping mall, it qualifies as one of Innsbruck’s most spectacular gourmet havens simply for its view. This, a chic dining spot on the seventh floor of the Rathausgalerie takes its name "bright spot" from its location, but also from the dining experience. The vistas over the Altstadt are without precedent in Innsbruck and are especially dramatic at night.

Lichtblick is perched on the seventh floor of the 'Rathausgalerien', the city hall building in the centre of the city which also contains a wide range of shops and cafés. The style is smart, the food is good – and there's only a limited number of tables, which are packed close together. Not a place for an intimate chat about something personal!

Das von Glasfronten umgebene Restaurant Lichtblick wird seinem Namen durch das helle und luftige Ambiente mehr als gerecht: Im 7. Stock der Rathausgalerien mitten in der Innenstadt speist du über den Dächern Innsbrucks. Sowohl fürs romantische Dinner als auch für den Business-Lunch ist dieses Innsbrucker Restaurant sehr gut geeignet.

Stock in den Rathausgalerien wird man mit einem genialen Ausblick im Lichtblick empfangen. Gäste, Personal und Interior recht schick, Essen sehr gut, Bestuhlung ziemlich eng (Nachbar hört mit). Für mich ist das Restaurant Lichtblick die erste Wahl, wenn ich einen super Ausblick haben möchte und noch dazu gutes Essen genießen will.

As the name suggests, going to the Lichtblick will be a ray of hope after a long conference day. If you fancy a drink after, then go next door to the 360° Bar and enjoy a stunning view over Innsbruck. Both places are on the pricey side, but definitely worth the money.

There are two hotel bars with striking views: 360°, directly across a ramp from restaurant Lichtblick (below), a circular, completely glass-walled bar where it is best to stick to what’s great: Austrian wine.
