"Great Italian spot on the other side of the river in Innsbruck. Friendly and accommodating staff with our wiggly toddler. We enjoyed two gluten free pastas. Note they fill up so may be worth calling to make reservations. It also got a little hot inside but somewhat understandable on one of the hottest days of the year."

So many dishes from the menu are not available which quite disappointed ☹️ I ordered the half lobster pasta as the waiter was recommended and I've got as the picture you can see. I thought the lobster in here is even smaller than the river prawn 😜 Did not meet my expectations!!"

"The first night I went it was packed but they managed to find me a table. Service was great the whole night and I ordered a pizza it was the dolce vita. The pizza sauce, quality cheese and the dough is what makes great pizza to me and it did not disappoint. Shout out to the Pizzaiolo Damiano, who made sure I had a great experience and delicious pizza! 👏🏽 I came back the next night to try the spaghettino alla carbonara and a special bite size pizza from the Chef I barely could walk back to my place! 😂 If you like great food and amazing service this place is a must, come early it gets packed! 💪🏽"

Höttingergasse | Innsbruck is so close to Italy that you can find excellent Italian cuisine here. For a long time, my favorite pizza in Innnsbruck was at Due Sicile in Höttingergasse. Since 2017, they have also opened a branch at Die Bögen (A Casa) and one at the Markthalle (La Piccola), both offering wonderful outdoor seating in summer, although the Markthalle has a better view.

But if Austrian food is not what you feel like, you would be happy to have nice Italian food at Due Sicilie, or a burrito at Machete. Christmas in Innsbruck starts already in middle of November. Christkindlmarkt (5 minutes’ walk from the dorm), and Christkindlmarkt am Goldenen Dachl (10 minutes’ walk) are the two main Christmas Markets in the city, and the first ones to open.
