Literally the brother venue of the Erich we’ve already mentioned above, this restaurant serves a truly magical breakfast. Unlike at the Erich, here you get to chose from an extensive set breakfast menu, but don’t worry, all tastes and preferences are more than covered here. There’s great breakfast combinations that hit every craving, and then there’s an extensive choice of egg-dishes, fruit and grain based bowls, and extras to create your unique perfect breakfast.

You all know that I’m always in search of the perfect breakfast, and Ulrich is a great option. I had a fantastic shakshuka here (because I cannot go past it on a menu), but many of the clientele were enjoying their signature Ruby croissant – a chocolate croissant with pomegranate and pistachio since you’re asking!. I absolutely recommend that you make a booking at Ulrich if you’d like to come here since the place was absolutely heaving at opening time on Sunday!

For a decadent but relaxed breakfast in the city center, Ulrich ticks all the boxes. Stylish, contemporary, and friendly, the place is almost always packed, especially in the summer months when the large, sunny outdoor terrace draws in patrons. The full breakfasts are generous spreads that include eggs, homemade bread, fruit, pastries, freshly squeezed juice, coffee, yogurt with granola, cheese, smoked salmon, and chive butter.

The café s trending spot within the city, hence making a reservation in advance is a great option.

While in Vienna, we also ate at Ulrich, a cosy restaurant with a bit of a hipster vibe, that offered both indoor and outdoor seating. I decided to order the Chorizo with Herb Polenta, capers, and a tomato and bean ragout!. It was wonderful – the chorizo was spicy and juicy, and the capers gave the whole dish a bit of a kick.

A particularly Austrian version of the outdoor dining area is the sidewalk café. Here, the tables are placed outside the establishment on public land. The sidewalk café of the Ulrich – located right on the idyllic St-Ulrichs-Platz – is a mix of café-restaurant and bar, and is one of the best of its kind in Vienna.

The next morning I suggest you start with a decent breakfast at lovely Café Ulrich in the 7th district. You can reach the place after a five-minute walk from the Volkstheater metro station (exit Burggasse). Book a table on the beautiful terrace to enjoy your start into a new day in Austria’s capital.

Ulrich is a very popular breakfast spot located on the beautiful St. Ulrichs Platz. I have visited this Cafe in 2014 and 2015 very often, always loved the food and the atmosphere here. In recent years, Ulrich has had a reinforcement in the form of “little brother” Erich, who is only a few steps away.

For our first dinner in Vienna, we went to Ulrich, which a few people had recommended and I’d also read about in the New York Times. It’s definitely more modern Austrian food – no schnitzel here!. – and it was a lovely break from all the heavy European food we’d been eating on our trip thus far.

Depending on the time of day, ULRICH can be a café, restaurant or a bar. If you go there in the morning, you'll get a large vegan breakfast plate with corn fritters, hummus, a tiny portion of porridge and more. The menu also offers juices, coffee, vegan salads, flatbreads, gnocchi, and more.

Ulrich is a short walk from MuseumsQuartier, Rathaus (city hall) and various other major attractions in Vienna. Ulrich has a great atmosphere and an equally good menu full of tasty options. A great choice is the Wild Boar Schnitzel which is a nice variation of the typical Viennese dish.

The first recommendation on my list of places to eat in Vienna is the infamous breakfast at ULRICH. While the place offers exceptional food throughout the day, I highly recommend their brunch. You can easily reach ULRICH by getting off at the subway station Volkstheater.

I really enjoy having breakfast at Ulrich (St. Ulrichplatz 1, 1070 Wien), Figar (1060 or 1040 Wien) or at Guesthouse (Führichgasse 10, 1010 Wien). Ulrich is simply perfect. Offering breakfast until 15:00 on the weekends, perfect solution after a night out.

It is peaceful, the architecture is beautiful and there are lovely photogenic corners everywhere. Apart from this, Neubau treasures many cool shops, cafes and restaurants. One of them is Ulrich – cozy and modern cafe-restaurant with delicious food.

One of the most popular hangout spots in Vienna – the cafe | restaurant | bar Ulrich. It’s not fully vegan but offers some delicious options, especially for breakfast. It’s also a great place to spend your evenings as the bar fills up with people.

Very close by too, Ulrich is a great place to enjoy your lunch with your furry friend, in the middle of Vienna’s 7th District.
