Felix Pakhuis

An enormous ancient warehouse with a dazzling interior design and located on ‘t Eilandje, the trendiest quartierin Antwerp, the Felixpakhuis serves great breakfasts for early birds and magnificent brunches for sleepy heads. From 12.30pm up to 2.30pm you can feast on the buffet à volonté (several sorts of cheese, eggs, bacon, salads, smoked salmon, and croissants) and indulge in a selection of creamy, fruity or chocolaty desserts. With a brunch like that, there’s reason to sleep in.

North of the historic centre in Antwerp’s docklands area is the spacious, industrial-style Felix Pakhuis – a good pit stop after visiting Museum aan de Stroom. Something of an all-day concept, it’s handy for a morning coffee and slice of apple pie, an afternoon tipple with a snack, or dinner in the evening. We went for the middle option and tried a glass of bubbles with some chicken wings, veggie crisps and (of course) Belgian fries with mayo.

Godefriduskaai 30 – Op zon- en feestdagen kunnen vroege vogels komen ontbijten bij het Felixpakhuis van 10 tot 12 uur; langslapers kunnen van 12:30 uur tot 14:30 uur aanschuiven. Reserveren is verstandig, want Antwerpenaren houden van hun zondagse brunch buiten de deur waardoor het nog weleens druk kan zijn. Geopend van woensdag t/m zondag, op maandag en dinsdag groepen vanaf 20 personen.

Een monumentaal pakhuis uit 1858 dat gerestaureerd is tot een hotspot om te brunchen én te trouwen. Om optimaal gebruik te maken van deze locatie is het best dat je een visite plant na de kantooruren en op een zondag. De kans is groot dat er events worden gehouden, want van zulke mooie locatie wordt natuurlijk optimaal gebruik van gemaakt.

The best restaurants on het Eilandje in Antwerp are Felix Pakhuis, The London and Zilte. The latter has three Michelin stars and is located on the top floor of the Museum aan de Stroom. So during this culinary experience, you also enjoy a fantastic view of the city.

Felix Pakhuis is a nineteenth-century large warehouse and one of the most important examples of the era. Today it is a protected monument and part of a protected cityscape. In 1860 the warehouse was opened and used to store goods such as grain, cheese and coffee.

Mocht je een hotel hebben zonder ontbijt en je wil het liefst een super uitgebreid buffet in de ochtend ga dan hierheen!. Eieren, pannekoeken, gebak, granola, yoghurt en vers fruit, werkelijk alles hebben ze hier. Wel even reserveren.
