Bruges and Ghent
You might think it’s a little meh to have pizza in Bruges, and you might be right. But I’m yet to find a very traditional restaurant in Bruges that really hit the spot: Gran Kaffee de Passage was a bit hit and miss, the interior better than the food (I’m reliably informed that I should try Brasserie Raymond next time). And you may want somewhere for a good lightish lunch that isn’t a moule frites place: if so, Amuni is for you.
In Bruges: The best sights to see, restaurants to visit and places to stay on a solo trip
Amuni : This is a “slow food” Italian restaurant that specialises in Neapolitan pizza. Their menu is full of sustainably sourced ingredients, the selection of topping options is huge and the dough is light and airy. My prosciutto and burrata pizza was one of the nicest ones I’ve ever had, and the laid-back atmosphere makes it an ideal choice for a solo visitor.
Cruise Port Zeebrugge – One Day in Bruges – What to Do, See & Eat -
The contemporary designed restaurant will make you forget you are in Bruges – there are a few areas to enjoy your meal – the bar, courtyard both inside and outside as well as a large dining room. While tempted by the pizza, I chose the pasta and bread basket along with a glass of red and of course dessert!
Eat like a local in Bruges
Amuni (V and VG) is a recent addition to the scene of Italian restaurants. Not the cheapest place, but they serve decent, fresh, honest, authentic slow Italian food. The restaurant features a modern relaxed interior and is located close to the main square.
