Some coffee shops in Brussels are perfect for a quick pick-me-up in a small quaint space; JAT is not that kind of place. As one of the largest cafés I’ve yet to find in the city, it’s inviting in both size and comfort offering great drinks and hearty food options any time of day. It’s probably my favorite place to work and people watch during lunch because I know if I get hungry there’s great healthy options to snack on.

A warm atmosphere, sockets everywhere, wooden tables and strong wifi make Jat’ Café an ideal work spot. The place is usually quiet, at least during week days, bright and you can rely on soft armchairs to spend a nice afternoon behind your laptop. Jat’ Café offers a wide selection of food: bagels, cupcakes, salads… They have an option for each and every break during your work day.

This was my go-to cafe during my time in Brussels and it became my second home. JAT Cafe is a popular coffee joint just outside of the downtown tourist area. While it can get a bit crowded around lunch time, it’s big enough that I never once had trouble finding a place to sit down, and there are plugs available for nearly every seat.

At JAT’ Café you can order multiple food and drinks such as coffee, homemade lemonade, tea, breakfast, lunch and more. If you order there, they will call you to come and get it, or you’ll wait in front of the waiting area. The JAT’ Café is close to the Warandepark and is located opposite Tich, a vegan restaurant.

Jat Cafe: A pretty cafe between Porte de Namur and Sablon where you can indulge in bagels, cakes and a good selection of coffee. Brunch is available during weekends until 15:00 and includes fresh juice, coffee, eggs with bacon or salmon, viennoiseries and fruit salad or yoghurt for 14€.
