What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mee offers a sophisticated Pan-Asian dining experience with many guests praising its exquisite flavors, artistic presentation, and attentive service, making it a standout in Rio de Janeiro's culinary scene. However, some diners feel the high prices do not always align with the perceived value, and a few have noted inconsistencies in service and food quality, especially when the restaurant is busy.
"I had an amazing dining experience at Mee! The food was a fascinating fusion of Japanese culture, with flavors and quality that instantly transported me back to Japan. The attention to detail in every dish was impressive, and the drinks were just as exceptional. A truly memorable night!"

"If it wasn't for the fact I visited a different Michelin star restaurant for two nights in a row prior to this visit, I probably wouldn't be so critical of this place as it didn't come close to how good the other place was in terms of food but more importantly how welcome I felt.
It can't be just me who doesn't think highly of this place as you can see in a picture how empty it was at 9 pm. In fact when making the reservation it had almost every available spot open from 7 pm till 9:30 pm on the same day. (I started looking for a reservation
at 6 pm). This should have been my first clue but since it was my last night in Rio I felt like treating myself and I wanted to see what the inside of the hotel looked like. Unlike the restaurant I visited prior which was buzzing, this was dead and not very welcoming. Not once during an appetizer or my main course did someone come and ask how things were. The appetizer came with wooden disposable chopsticks, which doesn't bug me ever but when you are charging the prices this place is for the meal you receive it doesn't make sense how it gets it Michelin star.
The most impressive part of dinner was the food which was good but not spectacular and not worth the price you pay, mostly because I have tried similar dishes many times and these didn't stand out."

the food, the presentation, the taste... everything was GNARLY.

10/10 would recommend!"
