Reviews Summary
Manastirska Magernitsa is lauded for its authentic traditional Bulgarian cuisine, served in a beautifully decorated, cozy atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. Diners rave about the delicious, flavorful food, including unique specialties, and the friendly, helpful service. While some find portions small for the price, the overall experience is highly recommended for its genuine taste of Bulgaria.
"Beautiful traditional Bulgarian restaurant. Decorated in a traditional way. They have a lot of seating inside and outside. Waitress was very friendly and gave great recommendations. We got some fantastic soft fluffy bread with an interesting spice mix that was very good for free. We ordered some chicken and some veal I think based off the recommendation of the waitress, both were delicious but the chicken especially. We also got two types of lemonade (strawberry and elderflower) which were delicious, and a banitsa."

"Honestly the best food experience I had in Sofia - I actually went twice! The vegetarian options were plentiful and the freshness of everything I ordered was unparalleled. Those buttery mushrooms and the white bean stew, paired with the delicious bread was divine. Finally, the servers were all very kind and friendly, as well as helpful when it came to navigating the extensive menu. Definitely go if you’re in town!"

"Really loved the atmosphere. It has authentic decorations and good bulgarian music. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and well presented. The raspberry wine was a real hit! Prices are standard for a downtown restaurant.
Only down thing is its not suitable for small children, but on the other hand this can be a plus 🙂
Overall very pleased with the experience and will surely visit again."
