We spent around an hour at the Museum of Socialist Art before returning to the city centre to find lunch. We liked the look and sound of Moma restaurant, located on a side street just off Vitosha Boulevard, and it turned out we couldn’t have picked better. No this is not the museum of modern art but their food might as well be. One of my coworkers could not stop talking about this restaurant, so I knew I had to try it. This is a modern Bulgarian restaurant in downtown Sofia.

The hotel where I stayed offered a classic Bulgarian spread at breakfast from the various regions of Bulgaria. Top among these to try are Shopska salad, Banista and of course the various cheeses.

With a number of vegan and vegetarian dishes on their menu, Moma is an interesting place to eat with a large open seated area outside, the interior decor is stunning.
