The unique dishes and refined presentation are highlights, though some note that prices are higher than average for Siem Reap, reflecting a fine dining experience.
"Delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service.
The food here is very good—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The menu offers a nice variety of options, and everything we tried was satisfying and well-prepared. The ambiance is also a highlight: cozy, welcoming, and beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant space to enjoy your meal.
What really made the experience stand out was the excellent service. The staff were professional, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. It’s a place I’d recommend to others looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience."

"Food was amazing. Service outstanding. Sen helped us ordering the food and gave us great advice. Couldn't be happier. We paid with credit card. It was 41 USD for two main dishes, two drinks, and one dessert. Highly recommend."

"We visited this place for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was a perfect blend of cozy and serene, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. Despite being centrally located, it felt like a peaceful retreat, away from the usual city buzz.
The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they were happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences.
As for the food, it was a delightful introduction to Khmer cuisine. We started with the spring rolls, which were fresh, well-seasoned, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce. The highlight of our meal was the fish amok—beautifully presented and bursting with rich, creamy flavors. The balance of spices and coconut was just right, making it one of the best versions of this dish we’ve had.
The restaurant also offered a decent selection of beers and cocktails, which complemented the meal well. Whether you’re looking for something local or a familiar favorite, there’s something for everyone.
The staff also helps you hail a tuk tuk after you finish!
Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Khmer flavors in a relaxing atmosphere. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a peaceful setting makes it highly recommended. Would definitely return!"

Culinary Guide to Siem Reap – Markets, Restaurants, Classes
On the riverside, stylish Chanrey Tree offers slightly more refined traditional Cambodian dishes, including a few that you won’t see on other menus at restaurants at this level, along with some of owner Soann Kann’s mother’s recipes. Order the crispy sticky rice crackers with natang sauce, made with minced pork, shrimp, coconut milk, and peanuts, served with fried tempura-like frangipanis and vegetables; the char kroeung of frog’s legs (or pork, chicken or beef if you’re not a fan of the frog), stir-fried with a kroeung paste of lemongrass, turmeric, galangal, lime, garlic, and spring onion; and the free-range Khmer chicken, roasted with honey, rice brandy, young jack fruit and lemongrass, and served with a prahok dip and fresh vegetable crudites. The prahok k’tis at Chanrey Tree is also superb.

This elegant restaurant is located amongst loads of greenery in a refreshingly air-conditioned room. In addition to loads of local Khmer cuisine, Chanrey Tree also has two whole pages of meat-free items for vegans and vegetarians to choose from, including appetizers, salads, curries, and stir-fry. We highly recommend the Pomelo and Spinach Salad ($6.50), a delightfully healthy salad made with pomelo, long beans, abalone mushrooms, lotus roots, peanuts, mint, lemon basil, toasted coconut, and more tossed with spinach in Khmer dressing and the Garlic Mushrooms with Black Pepper ($7.50), a delicious combination of straw and abalone mushrooms made with soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, and spring onions.
