What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Duft and Co Bakehouse is highly praised for its exceptionally delicious and high-quality pastries, often described as better than those found in larger cities. The coffee is also a standout, and the friendly, positive energy from the owners significantly enhances the dining experience. However, the limited opening hours, potential for items to sell out quickly, and the sometimes sparse interior ambiance are noted drawbacks for some visitors.
"After many attempts to visit and consistent bad timing - I finally got to visit Duft and Co! The drinks and baked goods were delicious, but what really stood out was the infectious positivity and welcoming from the owner who was serving us. I couldn’t tell you the last time I met someone with that much joy to share.
We did have to line up outside - very popular place! And even 30 min after opening, certain items were already sold out! So get their early foe the best selection!"

"Hmm this is a hard one to review. I'll start with the good - the cinnamon bun was fantastic and I am picky! Perfect ratio of filling, icing, dough.. the cinnamon and sugar left a perfect caramelized layer on the bottom. I was disappointed that they couldn't warm it up. We came at 2pm and just would have been top notch if it was a touch warm. We also tried the donut and I really didn't like it. Very heavy and cakey. Also suuuper expensive for a donut. We dined-in and everything - coffee included - was served in to-go boxes and cups. I would also love to see a matcha latte added to the menu! Alll in all, not sure the experience matched the price and hype."

"I was really looking forward to going to the Duft & Co for a while and saw all the delicious baked goods they made from their Google reviews. When I went there, however, I was a little disappointed that it was not as extravagant as I was hoping. Their choices in baked goods were very scarce.
When I arrived there I found out that they do not serve their breakfast/lunch menu, but instead the daily special advertisement from their indoor sign. I ordered the Mozzarella & Caramelized Onions Focaccia bread and their cappuccino. The focaccia was great with the caramelized onions adding succulence and flavour that stood out. The cappuccino was good, nothing special though. I also had their Almond Butter cake, which was good as well if not a little solid to eat.
There was not much to talk about the interior ambiance of the café and there was not much space inside, unless you go to the back of the café. The staff was very courteous in serving me and has a good deal of knowledge about their business.
My experience at the Duft & Co Bakehouse was pretty good, and I would like to give them another try. However, it will be a while because of their obscured business hours would be hard for me to come around."
